Residential solar panels adapt the sun’s light energy into electricity by using photovoltaic cells to convert photons into usable electricity. Solar panels for residential use are usually constructed with crystalline silicon which is produced exclusively for use in photovoltaic cells. By depositing nebulous silicon alloy in a continuous roll-to-roll procedure more efficient panels are assembled. Cells created from this procedure are known as Amorphous Silicon Cells which are more durable as well as efficient their crystalline counterparts.
